For a private corporate training, a minimum of 4 participants is required. To maximize interaction, a maximum of 8 participants is ideal.

PREREQUISITES


To be involved, directly or indirectly, in quality assurance and testing of software or information systems. Prior knowledge of key activities in the software development life cycle is preferable, but not mandatory.


PREPARATIONS


Before the first lesson, read the first two chapters of the syllabus. Also, review the glossary of terms used in software testing.

Target examples specific to your field or organization for group discussions.

TRAINING CONTENT


The program is based on the CFTL-ISTQB certification scheme (2018 version), on experience sharing and on exercises for tooling and test management.


COURSE CHAPTERS


  • The basis of testing: Why test and what are the main activities?
  • Testing during the development lifecycle: How to organize different types of testing on an agile or traditional project
  • Static testing: How to detect defects as early as possible with reviews?
  • Testing techniques: How to design effective tests?
  • Test management: How to manage a testing project with the right indicators?
  • Test support tools: Which tools to use to test better and faster?

EXERCISES


  • Target the different levels of documentation needed on a project;
  • Create a master test plan and quality indicators;
  • Target and describe test levels for a given context;
  • Design functional tests with different techniques;
  • Mock exams n° 1 and n° 2.
